Role Purpose

To deliver courteous and professional food and beverage service to guests according to prescribed standards and procedures, while maintaining outlet cleanliness, equipment readiness, and strong guest relationships that reflect voco's brand of reliable yet distinctive hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery

• Serve food and beverage to guests according to prescribed service standards and procedures with emphasis on speed and accuracy.
• Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
• Establish rapport with guests and maintain good relationships.
• Attend pre-meal briefing and de-briefing daily and monthly F&B host meetings.

Outlet Operations

• Ensure that SOP Basic standards are adhered to in order to achieve the level of service established in the Departmental Operations Manual.
• Take a hands-on approach in the operation of the outlet.
• Ensure that par stocks and FIFO system for all operating equipment and supplies are strictly adhered to and that the outlet is adequately equipped.
• Assist in controlling the requisitioning, storage, and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.
• Ensure the outlet is kept clean and organized, both at the front and back of the house.
• Clean and maintain equipment, tools, fixtures, and service area in the station assigned.
• Clean and re-stock service station.
• Assist the Captain in the monthly and daily operating equipment inventory.

Maintenance and Standards

• Be knowledgeable of all equipment in the outlet, proper handling, and usage.
• Issue repair and maintenance job orders to ensure proper maintenance of the outlet.
• Liaise and organize with Housekeeping Department to ensure established cleaning schedules are strictly adhered to.

Communication and Coordination

• Attend daily briefings with hosts on preparation, service, and menu.
• Liaise with supporting departments on daily operation and quality.
• Report lost and found items.
• Report any unusual incidents, guest complaints, lost and found, breakage, and losses to the superior.

Team and Compliance

• Ensure all associates provide courteous and professional service at all times.
• Assist in building an efficient team of associates by taking active interest in their welfare, safety, and development.
• Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and Mascots pin at all times.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
• Have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Hotel's Policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety.
• Have a complete understanding of the hotel's associate handbook and adhere to the regulations contained within.
• Attend all training sessions and programs requested by the Hotel's Management.

Additional Duties

• Perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior, which lead to guest satisfaction and profit for the hotel.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience preferred, especially if serving beverages in a fine dining establishment.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to walk, stand, and carry heavy trays.
• Friendly and attentive attitude.
• Excellent English knowledge.
• Knowledge of beverages and food.
• Passion for providing customers with high-quality service.
