Role Purpose
The Employee Restaurant is an important part of colleagues' everyday experience. This role creates a clean, welcoming and well-organised dining environment where colleagues can enjoy their meals and recharge during their working day.
Key Responsibilities
Service and Guest Care
- Serve and assist colleagues during breakfast, lunch, dinner and other meal periods.
- Support colleagues with a friendly and helpful approach.
Setup and Breakdown
- Set up the Employee Restaurant and food service areas before each meal period.
- Support opening and closing duties for the Employee Restaurant.
Replenishment and Maintenance
- Replenish buffet items, beverages, cutlery and other supplies throughout service.
- Keep tables, chairs, counters, floors and service stations clean.
- Make sure food displays and service areas remain clean, organised and presentable.
Cleaning and Sanitation
- Clear and cleaning tables promptly during and after meal periods.
- Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
Reporting and Coordination
- Report low supplies, damaged equipment or safety concerns to your supervisor.
- Work closely with the culinary and stewarding teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous food service, cafeteria or restaurant experience would be an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Physical strength to lift, push and pull objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg), which can also involve bending and kneeling.
- Basic reading, writing and numeracy skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of cleanliness and food hygiene.
- Ability to work in a busy environment and stay organised during peak meal periods.
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
