Role Overview
Family Medicine Registrar position at Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC) in Saudi Arabia, reporting to the Family Medicine department.
Role Purpose
Provide comprehensive primary care by diagnosing and treating patient injuries and illnesses, delivering patient education on preventive healthcare and treatment options, and maintaining adherence to all clinical policies, procedures, and quality standards established by NCC and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Assessment & Care Delivery
- Assess patients and document clinical findings.
- Examine patients, take medical histories, and prescribe medications.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Design and execute individualized patient care plans.
- Prescribe medications for patients.
- Order and review results of patient investigations.
Patient Education & Counseling
- Educate patients on their health condition, investigations required, and treatment options.
- Counsel patients on medication use.
- Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare as related to individual cases.
Clinical Governance & Compliance
- Fulfill obligations related to patient records management.
- Adhere to all NCC Policies and Procedures, Bylaws, Strategic Plan, Rules and Regulations.
- Adhere to NCC mission, vision, goals, and practice guidelines.
- Adhere to CBAHI standards of care.
- Comply with clinical and departmental structure standards, including attendance requirements.
- Complete fire safety requirements.
Quality & Professional Development
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and program evaluation activities.
- Observe measures to ensure Clinical, MOH, and CBAHI quality standards and regulations are met.
- Participate in continuous professional development of all junior staff.
- Develop, participate in, and support an active Continuing Medical Education program for the Section, Department, or Clinical area assigned by the chairman, which may include rounds, conferences, lectures, journal clubs, and other educational activities.
- Maintain evidence-based practice orientation.
Committee & Stakeholder Engagement
- Actively participate in all NCC Committees and Task Forces to which assigned.
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments of NCC, local agencies, vendors, patients, their families, and other interested parties.
Clinical Privileges & Specialty Practice
- Exercise specific clinical privileges based on training, experience, skills, and Saudi Health Council guidelines.
- Perform additional tasks based on specialty and clinical privileges.
- Integrate population factors of heritage, environment, and disease prevalence into patient care.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized university.
- Master's degree in related specialty from a recognized university OR Fellowship with SCFHS approval.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience following Master's degree or eligible to sit the board examination in the specialty.
License
- Licensed as Registrar in related specialty from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
Skills & Competencies
- Office and Health Information Systems proficiency.
- English and Arabic fluency in speaking and writing.

Work Environment
- Indoor work: 100%.
- Outdoor work: 0%.
- Working days: 6 days per week.
- Days off: 1 day per week.
- Working hours: 8 net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department.
