Role Overview
Fabricator at Galadari Brothers.
Role Purpose
Interpret engineering and fabrication drawings to produce metal components through cutting, forming, bending, and assembly operations using specialized fabricating equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Interpretation & Planning
- Interpret fabrication drawings and study engineering drawings to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
- Interpret tolerance sheets and mark dimensions as per the drawings.
- Lay out marking and examine material to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.
Technical Operations
- Apply knowledge of surface development and intersection of surfaces and layouts.
- Operate equipment including welding machines, grinding, drilling, oxy-fuel cutting, and plasma cutting.
- Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, or otherwise form and assemble metal components.
Assembly & Material Handling
- Perform sub-assembly and assembly of fabricated components.
- Lift or move fabricated material using EOT cranes.
General Duties
- Perform any other work assigned by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
- Well conversant in interpreting fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of surface development and intersection of surfaces and layouts.
- Expertise in sub-assembly and assembly of fabricated components.
