Role Overview

Expeditor at McDermott, based in Dubai. The role supports procurement and supply chain activities for major energy projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment from the Dubai office.

Role Purpose

Track, expedite, and coordinate the delivery of purchase orders and materials across major energy projects. Liaise with vendors and suppliers to resolve delays, maintain supply chain visibility, and escalate risks to ensure project schedules remain on track.

Key Responsibilities

Expediting & Tracking

• Track and expedite the delivery of purchase orders and materials
• Maintain accurate expediting records and status reports
• Prepare regular expediting status reports for procurement management

Vendor & Supplier Coordination

• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to resolve delivery delays
• Support inspection and quality coordination with vendors as needed

Logistics & Project Support

• Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely material arrival at project sites

Risk & Compliance Management

• Identify and escalate potential supply chain risks
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
• 4–6 years of expediting or procurement experience, ideally in oil and gas or EPC projects

Skills & Competencies

• Strong vendor coordination and follow-up skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Experience with procurement systems (SAP or similar)
• Fluency in English required
