Role Overview
Executive - Procurement at Al Ghurair, responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of goods and services across assigned categories to ensure quality, cost optimization, and on-time delivery.
Role Purpose
Ensure the right products and services are sourced, negotiated, and delivered on time in full to the correct location, meeting originating department requirements while maintaining strong supplier relationships and achieving cost savings targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Quotation
- Fulfill all RFQs from originating departments by providing quotations and comparative analyses.
- Run auctions where applicable, following spend category SOPs.
- Source and submit documents for new supplier registration or changes to supplier details with Head of Procurement approval for Oracle updates.
Supplier Management
- Reduce Single Source Procurement Justification (SSPJ) on a yearly basis by introducing new suppliers for services and products.
- Update the approved supplier list on a yearly basis with current supplier ratings and submit to Category Manager for review and Head of Procurement for approval.
- Negotiate with suppliers to optimize payment terms and improve cash flow for the organization.
- Manage all complaints from originating departments through Supplier Complaint Notes (SCN) and track resolution to completion.
Contract Management
- Generate contracts for high contractual spend and execute on time, initiating the process 90 days in advance as per contract renewal procedures.
Spend Analysis & Cost Optimization
- Track all year-to-date spends and analyze spending using ABC analysis methodology.
- Provide recommendations to the Category Manager for cost reduction projects.
- Support Category Manager in achieving monthly savings targets.
Quality & Delivery Assurance
- Ensure quantity and services supplied are complete and delivered on time.
Logistics & Documentation
- Generate online gate passes for materials to be delivered in JAFZA.
- Coordinate approval of documents from the Emergency Response Team for entry into plants.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain.
- Bachelor's degree and Procurement Professional certificates.
- Good knowledge in supply strategy, cost analysis, planning, supplier management, fact-based negotiation skills, and data updates.
