Role Overview
ER Nurse (207684) at Nahdi.
Role Purpose
Provide comprehensive nursing care in the emergency department and clinics utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice, while ensuring clinic readiness, patient safety, and adherence to established standards of nursing performance.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Assessment
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care according to established policies and evidence-based practice.
- Complete nursing assessments and document medical history from patients.
- Act as an advocate for patients and families.
- Contribute to the achievement of clinical quality outcome indicators and patient satisfaction.
Safety & Compliance
- Comply with all policies, procedures, clinical protocols, standards, and guidelines based on legislation and evidence-based nursing practice.
- Comply with policies for personal and patient safety and for the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
- Promote a safe environment and safe patient care by embracing a safety culture.
- Adhere to Medicines Management for the safe keeping and administration of medication.
Documentation & Reporting
- Document all relevant information correctly, appropriately, and in a timely manner.
- Report equipment failures, safety and security issues, and reduction of supply inventory to nurse supervisor.
Operations & Resource Management
- Ensure the clinic is ready for effective use by the physician from consumable material stock level and medical equipment standpoint.
- Maintain awareness of resource utilization, exercising care in the ordering and use of staff, equipment, and materials.
- Contribute to the achievement of cost efficiency savings on unit.
Team Collaboration & Professional Development
- Cooperate and work effectively with other professionals in the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in self-education, training, and development as applicable.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Associate Degree/Diploma in Nursing required.
- 2 years of clinical experience following the degree required; no experience required for Saudis with Bachelor's Degree.
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure from country of origin required.
- Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Licensure required.
Skills & Competencies
- Healthcare Information System.
- English and Arabic (fluent speaking).
Additional Information
- Work Environment: 100% indoors.
- Work Schedule: 6 working days per week, 1 day off, 8 net working hours per shift according to schedule approved by head of department.
- The employee's duties are not limited to the stated accountabilities; the manager may assign other duties based on business need.
