ER General Physician - Riyadh

Role Overview

ER General Physician position at Nahdi in Riyadh. The role involves diagnosing and treating minor cases of illness, examining patients, taking medical histories, prescribing medications, and ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.

Role Purpose

Provide emergency care and general physician services in the ER setting. Assess and treat patients with minor illnesses, counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare, and refer complex cases to appropriate specialties. Conduct video consultations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis

• Assess patients and document findings.
• Examine patients and take medical histories.
• Order and review results of patients' investigations.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests.

Treatment & Medication Management

• Design and execute the patient's plan of care.
• Prescribe medications for patients.
• Perform additional tasks based on specialty and clinical privileges.

Patient Education & Counseling

• Educate patients on their health condition, investigations required, treatment options, and medication use.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare related to their individual cases.

Referral & Specialist Coordination

• Refer cases requiring more investigation to appropriate specialties.
• Conduct video consultations as applicable.

Immunization

• Administer vaccinations if applicable.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in medicine from recognized universities or SCHS license.
• 1 year of clinical experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Office and Health Information Systems.
• Fluent speaking and writing in English and Arabic.

Additional Information

• Work environment: 100% indoors.
• Working days: 6 days per week with 1 day off.
• Working hours: 8 net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department.
• Additional duties may be assigned by manager based on business need.
