Role Purpose

To ensure environmental compliance, safety, and awareness across project operations by conducting inspections and audits, managing environmental documentation, responding to incidents, and supporting the Environmental Manager and HSE Manager in maintaining superior environmental performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Inspections & Audits

• Conduct environmental inspections and audits on site facilities.
• Maintain a project audit schedule and reports.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain records as required by environmental requirements.
• Participate in the development of environmental-related project documents, plans and procedures.

Incident Management

• Report any environmental incidents to the client within required timeframes.
• Recommend measures to avoid re-occurrence.
• Maintain environmental incidents records.

Emergency Response

• Organize, participate in, and evaluate response drills regarding environmental emergencies.
• Recommend improvements based on drill outcomes.

Support & Advisory

• Provide troubleshooting, advice and assistance related to project environmental issues.
• Assist the Environmental Manager and/or HSE Manager in daily operations.
• Increase environmental awareness by developing relevant presentations for site employees.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Four-year full-time Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of five years of experience in environmental field in core industries such as refineries, petrochemicals, fertilizers, steel plants and heavy chemicals.
• Marine experience is required.
• ISO 14001 Internal or Lead Auditor certification (preferable).
• Other HSE trainings and certifications are an added advantage.
