Role Overview
Enterprise Application Specialist at Emirates Flight Catering. The role is responsible for managing and optimizing Oracle ERP and CNC operations by delivering secure, reliable, and scalable solutions through system administration, business process improvement, integrations, automation, project delivery, and user support.
Role Purpose
Identify gaps in standard ERP functionality and provide ongoing ERP process improvements and applications to meet the needs of internal and external customers, ensuring solutions are accurately scoped to business requirements and delivered with high-quality technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Process & Application Management
- Identify fits and gaps in standard ERP functionality.
- Develop application requirements by analyzing business processes, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, and studying system capabilities.
- Write technical specifications ensuring solutions are accurately scoped to meet business needs.
- Design, test and deploy innovative solutions using development tools both in and outside of local network.
- Enhance operational efficiency and support the organisation's unique business requirements.
System Operations & Compliance
- Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
- Ensure consistency, compliance, and continuity of system operations across the business.
Project Delivery & Monitoring
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, and publishing progress reports.
- Recommend actions to ensure projects are delivered on time and support business objectives.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Enable data-driven decision making through comprehensive reporting.
Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Train end-users and technical staff on Orchestrator functionality and best practices.
- Improve system adoption and maximize the value of ERP investments across the business.
Professional Development
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
- Establish personal networks and benchmark state-of-the-art practices.
- Participate in professional societies to ensure delivery of current, high-quality technical expertise to the business.
Qualifications & Experience
- BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with proven experience in an Oracle JD Edwards role.
- Experienced in Enterprise One objects developing applications, maintaining existing applications, user support and customization.
- Rich experience with development life cycle activities and design tools including BSFN, RDA, FDA, and BSSV.
- Competent in understanding business requirements and issues, analyzing, troubleshooting and providing solutions.
- Minimum 2 to 3 end-to-end ERP Implementation or Upgrade projects.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong JDE development skills.
- Familiar with latest database, application and tools release.
- Familiar with API standards, troubleshooting and bug fixing.
- Scripting, Web Services and REST Services.
- Additional programming language proficiency in JAVA, Groovy, or Python.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
