Engineering Apprentice for System Engineering

Role Overview

Engineering Apprentice for System Engineering at Airbus Defense and Space. This is an entry-level apprenticeship position in the Engineering Services Sub-contracting job family.

Role Purpose

Contribute to complex technical projects across Systems Engineering, Verification and Validation, Integration, and Information Technology and Communications while developing core engineering competencies through structured mentorship and hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Engineering

• Support Systems Engineering activities, including requirements analysis, system design documentation, and interface management.

Verification and Validation

• Assist in Verification and Validation processes by defining test cases, executing tests, and documenting results to ensure system compliance.

Integration

• Participate in hardware and software Integration efforts, troubleshooting interoperability issues, and supporting system-level testing.

Information Technology and Communications

• Contribute to ITCOMs projects, aiding in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of communication and IT infrastructure.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure project milestones are met.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and adhere to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of systems engineering principles, testing methodologies, or IT/network concepts is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent English speaking and writing skills for international collaboration and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in technical documentation and familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Eager to learn and adapt in a dynamic engineering environment.
