Role Overview

Engineering Apprentice for System Engineering at Airbus Defense and Space. This is an entry-level apprenticeship position in the Engineering Services Sub-contracting job family.

Role Purpose

Gain hands-on experience in Systems Engineering, Verification and Validation, Integration, and ITCOMs while contributing to complex technical projects and developing core engineering competencies within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Engineering

• Support Systems Engineering activities including requirements analysis, system design documentation, and interface management.

Verification and Validation

• Assist in Verification and Validation processes by defining test cases, executing tests, and documenting results to ensure system compliance.

Integration

• Participate in hardware and software Integration efforts, troubleshooting interoperability issues, and supporting system-level testing.

ITCOMs

• Contribute to ITCOMs projects, aiding in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of communication and IT infrastructure.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure project milestones are met.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and adhere to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of systems engineering principles, testing methodologies, or IT/network concepts is beneficial.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent English speaking and writing skills for international collaboration and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in technical documentation and familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Eager to learn and adapt in a dynamic engineering environment.
