Role Overview
Engineer - Material at AECOM in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will oversee all material-related activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards throughout the construction lifecycle.

Role Purpose
To manage and supervise all material-related activities on infrastructure projects, ensuring strict compliance with specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements from procurement through construction completion.
Key Responsibilities
Material Supervision & Coordination
- Monitor and supervise material-related activities on site.
- Coordinate with contractors, laboratories, suppliers, and supervision teams.
Submittals & Documentation Review
- Review and approve material submittals, technical data sheets, samples, and certificates for compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive records of material approvals, testing results, inspections, and non-conformances.
Inspection & Verification
- Inspect delivered materials and verify conformance with approved submittals and project specifications.
- Review laboratory and field test results to ensure materials meet all project requirements and standards.
Quality Assurance & Corrective Action
- Identify unsuitable or non-compliant materials and implement corrective actions with appropriate follow-up.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Materials Engineer on infrastructure or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of material testing, inspection protocols, and quality assurance standards.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to review technical documentation and verify compliance with specifications.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and documentation.
