Role Overview
Engineer III, Process Job at Tasnee, located in Jubail.
Role Purpose
The Process Engineer is responsible for overall monitoring and enhancement of various plant operations, providing technical support and innovation to maximize output levels and ensure efficient facility operation.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Technical Support
- Provide plant operations with technical inputs and support.
- Prepare different Heat & Material balance scenarios.
- Work closely with process chemists and control engineers to ensure the plant is set up to provide maximum output levels and efficient operation of the facility.
Process Evaluation & Design
- Evaluate plant process and evaluate changes proposed to design, taking environmental and economic aspects into account.
- Set up scale-up and scale-down processes including appropriate changes to equipment design and configuration.
- Evaluate design, installation, and commissioning of new projects, including monitoring developments and troubleshooting.
Process Simulation & Analysis
- Perform process simulations, assessing options for plant expansion or reconfiguration by developing and testing process simulation models.
- Optimize production by analyzing processes and troubleshoot problems with manufacturing processes.
Risk, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Perform risk assessments, manage cost and time constraints, and provide process documentation and operating instructions.
- Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
- Evaluate equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Propose improved manufacturing processes and apply new technologies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 5 years of experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Petrochemicals process familiarization, specifically Ethylene Cracker (EC), Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH), and Utilities processes.
- Strong command of business-level written and spoken English.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving.
