Role Overview

Engineer, Field Services (DD & LWD) at ADNOC Drilling OFS. This position is based at wellsite locations.

Role Purpose

This position is responsible for implementing directional drilling and Measurement While Drilling/Logging While Drilling operations at wellsite. The role supervises and instructs junior field engineers on wellsite work and activities, provides advice and direction to external customers and third-party wellsite colleagues, and maintains frequent internal and external customer contacts to sustain and grow the company's status as the recognized leader within the oil service industry. The position delivers Logging While Drilling solutions at well sites and drives operations with directional drilling expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision and Instruction

• Provide direct instruction and supervision to junior Field Engineers on day-to-day wellsite work and activities under minimal supervision.
• Act as a project leader and mentor to junior field engineers.

Stakeholder Management and Customer Relations

• Provide advice and direction to external customers and third-party wellsite colleagues as appropriate.
• Maintain frequent intra-organizational and external customer contacts with a high degree of professionalism.

Operations and Problem Resolution

• Provide resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex drilling problems at the wellsite where analysis of data requires broad knowledge of the product line's tools and services.
• Provide resolution to drilling problems of moderately complex scope at the well site where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
• Exercise judgment to determine appropriate action at the well site when performing well site surveys, directional work, and LWD work.

Compliance and Development

• Conduct all business activities in accordance with ADNOC Drilling Standard Operating Procedures, HSE policies, and Legal Compliance requirements.
• Successfully complete additional advanced technical training and assigned well site development programs.
• Execute other related duties as assigned.

Reporting and Evaluation

• Ensure work is evaluated upon completion by a Field Supervisor, local Operations Management, and the external Customer to confirm objectives have been met.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline, or equivalent.

Skills & Competencies

• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Good computer knowledge.
