Role Overview

Engineer - Facilities Management Hard Services with Transguard Group in Dubai, joining the Total Facilities Management team.

Role Purpose

To assist and support the Facilities Manager and clients in managing day-to-day operational management for all FM services, ensuring the facility is fully maintained, functional, and safe for building users. This includes overseeing maintenance activities, coordinating with vendors and contractors, managing housekeeping and soft services, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines, and implementing facility projects.

Key Responsibilities

Financial

• Prepare monthly reports with operational data to support review of contract operational performance.
• Ensure FM services are delivered as per sold solution manpower resources only.
• Identify and record continuous improvement initiatives including process improvement and cost savings.
• Manage project service delivery performance and ensure SLA/KPI compliance.
• Add value to the client's business by presenting initiatives that drive down costs or propose initiatives aligned with their business goals.
• Deliver FM services in line with agreed contractual SLA/KPIs to prevent penalties and deductions.

Customer Management

• Work with team Supervisors and team leaders to devise and conduct induction and continuation training for new staff, with training packages produced before staff assume responsibilities.
• Record all training in staff personnel files.
• Ensure all service level agreements within contract scope of works are maintained and monitored monthly using client evaluation forms.
• Resolve issues and escalate problems to line manager for support on resolution and closure.
• Procure materials, services, and projects in close coordination with the procurement team, strictly following procurement policies.
• Manage Specialist Services contractors and vendors within TG scope or as managing agent.
• Ensure all contract staff sickness, absence, and holiday reports adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Liaise with clients and customers on a regular basis to maintain the highest standards and exceed customer expectations.
• Develop excellent working relationships with the client at equivalent level and hold regular client meetings to ensure smooth contract running.
• Undertake site visits to view staff performance and discuss and resolve any issues raised by the client regarding service quality.

Operations & Process Management

• Manage Contract Service Delivery as per best industry practices, international FM standards, and compliance with local statutory guidelines.
• Order project equipment and machinery.
• Conduct contract staff induction and continuous training on best industry practices and established SOPs.
• Arrange and control local order purchases.
• Conduct monthly account review with Line Manager.
• Monitor resource utilization to ensure the right number and talent are available for delivering service as agreed contractually.
• Prepare monthly staff meetings and conduct daily and weekly briefings of site teams.
• Ensure timely raising of invoices in coordination with central Admin and Finance Teams.

Innovation & Improvement

• Execute energy management projects on the contract by identifying opportunities for improvement and seeking guidance from the energy manager.
• Introduce and integrate latest technology as per current market trends.
• Develop case studies and make business proposals with ROI models.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering or Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
• Certification preferred such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or CFM.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience on service delivery of structured contracts where standard SLA/KPI applicable.
• Knowledge of CAFM system and effective implementation of full modules.
• Driving license mandatory.
