Engineer (Commissioning) at Wood PLC. This is an internal candidate opportunity.

Role Purpose
To facilitate and formulate Commissioning Mechanical management, coordination, administration and strict enforcement of the Construction scope included as part of FEED/EPC Contract in line with the Client's objective of progressing Work Order completion timely and to project schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Planning & Coordination
- Review and provide input to the overall construction/installation plan, procedures and construction/installation requirements identified in the EPC Packages developed by FEED contractor to ensure efficient constructability.
- Ensure the construction/installation plan, procedures and requirements developed by EPC contractor comply with the EPC Scope of Work intent and requirements.
- Coordinate the FEED/EPC Contractor from construction through commissioning and handing over of FEED/EPC works.
- Coordinate and assist fabrication works at EPC contractor's or EPC contractor's subcontractor's fabrication facilities.
- Develop Construction requirements for Bid estimates.
- Assist with construction input to Bid preparation.
Supervision & Quality Assurance
- Supervise, monitor and inspect the work of EPC contractor and EPC contractor's subcontractors at the construction location (or place of manufacture where applicable) in accordance with ADNOC Offshore policy for supervision, quality assurance, control and inspection for the project.
- Maintain EPC contractor's adherence to safety, quality and schedule requirements for construction.
- Review design documents and provide constructability input to designs.
- Ability to review engineering design drawings and challenge work content for any improvement or cost effective methodology that can be adopted without compromise to safety.
- Challenge engineering detail for possible areas where hot work can be reduced or minimized.
Performance Monitoring & Control
- Participate in identifying Construction slippage and recommend corrective actions to be performed by EPC contractor.
- Coordinate with Project controls on the progress of work order issuance and proposed completion dates.
- Provide construction input to estimates as and when required.
- Involved in Effective Change Management.
Pre-Commissioning & Handover
- Thorough working knowledge and experience of construction completion procedures and Pre-commissioning activities.
Site & Design Engagement
- Undertake visits to facilities/sites to support the development of construction activities, review designs and liaise with EPC Contractor or EPC Contractor's Subcontractors.
- Identify any Specialist Vendor Support, Tools and Equipment required to implement scope.
- Taking part in site surveys and generation of reports where required.
- Full working knowledge of construction activities in relation to the relevant discipline.
Constructability & Readiness
- Coordinate and carry out required timely Constructability reviews, in line with Model progression.
- Ensure the required Constructability Readiness reviews are addressed to suit the planned deliverables timing.
Stakeholder & Team Liaison
- Interface with ADNOC Offshore Operations groups as and when necessary.
- Liaise closely with ADNOC Offshore PMT team on all aspects of design and technical data.
- Liaise strongly with Procurement team for materials and equipment deliverables for alignment to the overall project schedules.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Participate in HSE improvement activities, promoting HSE elements throughout construction development wherever possible.
Project Documentation
- Formulate Civil deliverables in line with Project procedures for content and accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineer or Other discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, in a similar role for at least 5 years.
- PMC experience on EPC Onshore brownfield field production upgradation and modification of existing facilities projects is highly preferable.
