Engineer, Civil Maintenance at ADNOC, Abu Dhabi.

Role Purpose
Coordinate civil and building maintenance, structural alterations and modifications across ADNOC-owned properties. Prepare and administer maintenance contracts to ensure contractor adherence to contractual obligations. Develop maintenance programs, technical feasibility studies and cost estimates for ADNOC properties including office buildings, residential VIP villas and other owned and leased properties within Abu Dhabi City and Ruwais City.
Key Responsibilities
Operation and Maintenance Services
- Provide technical expertise and monitor all civil maintenance activities related to building Operation and Maintenance as per defined service level agreements, KPIs, specifications and operational methodologies for ADNOC-owned properties, including office buildings, VIP staff accommodations and private accommodations in and outside Abu Dhabi City.
- Verify and ensure that civil works such as repairs are executed promptly and efficiently in accordance with professional standards and company policies.
- Guide Civil Supervisors located at all locations in Abu Dhabi and Ruwais City on technical matters.
- Assist in the preparation of annual preventive maintenance programs for all civil and building maintenance works with monthly breakdown.
- Approve monthly programs submitted by subordinates.
- Analyze updated monthly programs to determine extent of work planned and take appropriate action to accomplish planned tasks.
Contract and Technical Specifications
- Advise and support in the preparation of technical specifications to enable the development of contracts and tenders.
- Provide assistance and evaluate the provisions of maintenance contracts from the viewpoint of quality, standards and performance of work.
- Submit recommendations with justifications.
- Visit work locations and make overall performance rating on contractor's work.
- Certify work completion and work orders for payment.
- Participate in contract and purchase committee meetings and provide technical evaluation and clarifications.
Preventive Maintenance and Quality Management
- Verify and ensure the implementation of PPM plan, PPM checklists, method statements and risk assessment processes in O&M services.
- Assist in the PPM of all civil items as scheduled.
- Ensure that all door closers, door sealing, openings and insulations are intact and promptly rectified.
- Monitor implementation of Quality management systems as per approved QMS procedures.
- Monitor and identify non-conformities including contractors and follow up for remedial actions for closeout of NCR.
- Measure contractor performances.
Contractor and Service Provider Management
- Follow up with contractor management on matters related to works, schedule, quality and HSE standards and performance on a monthly basis.
- Inspect and verify spares requirement prepared by engineer or contractor to ensure that spares, stock items and non-stock items are available at all times.
- Participate in the review and approval process of manpower for service providers.
- Participate in the review and selection process of SSPs and sub-contractors for service providers.
- Assist Senior Civil Engineer Maintenance in conducting contractor performance evaluations.
- Review monthly progress reports and payment certificates from service providers.
Planning and Tendering
- Participate in the preparation and review of scope for WSO, including its technical and commercial evaluations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 6 years of experience in design, construction and maintenance works of multi-storied buildings in a large organization.
