Electronic Technician III Senior

Role Overview

Electronic Technician III Senior at V2X, located in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia (WTRS).

Role Purpose

Lead electronic maintenance operations on TADSS equipment and related systems, including resourcing and training technicians, performing scheduled and corrective maintenance, and ensuring seamless coordination between maintenance activities and training operations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Resource Management

• Lead electronic maintenance activities including resourcing and training other electronic technicians.
• Lead electronic maintenance activities to include sourcing vendor services and repair parts.
• Track repair and return of parts.

Maintenance Operations

• Perform scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS (e.g. AGTS, TDTs, and GFP), following technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when no checklist is available.
• Install modifications or upgrade kits as per manufacturer's instructions.
• May serve as a preventive rover for unstaffed sites.

Equipment Setup & Verification

• Set up and test TADSS Devices to confirm equipment works as expected, including interoperability and operation verification.
• Monitor hardware baselines and provide recommendations if updates fail.

Documentation & Compliance

• Record all maintenance activities in real-time in MAXIMO.
• Adhere to warranty terms for maintained items, tracking them by part number, serial number, and location.
• Ensure maintenance tasks do not conflict with training, exercises, and testing.
• Inform the government of the maintenance timelines for both staffed and unstaffed sites, including notifying when personnel need to travel for maintenance purposes.

Configuration Management & Analysis

• Conduct configuration management of all maintenance on TADSS Devices and GFP devices.
• Analyze maintenance trends, track component consumption, and manage obsolescence.
• Implement risk management strategies and conduct failure analysis to minimize risks and improve system reliability.

Software & Hardware Support

• May be responsible for installing and maintaining software and hardware installs for installed applications and operating systems.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Certifications

• 2-year associate degree in Electronics-related field, or
• Electronic Technicians Association (ETA) Basic Electronics Certification IAW ISO 17024 standards, or
• Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in a related discipline.

Experience

• 14+ years with no degree, or
• 10+ years with associate degree, or
• 8+ years with bachelor's degree, or
• 5+ years with master's degree.
• AGTS and TDT Device knowledge preferred (AGTS – Advanced Gunnery Training System, TDT – Tank Driver Trainer).

Skills & Competencies

• Experience using Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeter, Function Generator, Power supply, and multiple hand tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Equipment & Tools

• Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
• Components-Off-The-Shelf (COTS).
• Hand tools, soldering station, and specialized test equipment including Digital Multimeter.

Working Environment

• 90% of regular work is inside simulation facilities either onsite or at a Point of Need (PoN) location wherever training is being conducted.
• 10% of regular work is within an office environment.

Physical Activities

• Stooping, bending, lifting and/or carrying up to 35 lbs.
• Short periods of walking and standing for extended periods are likely.

Travel

• Required up to 40–50% of the time.
