Role Purpose

Troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform visual inspection of mechanical assemblies. Assist in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment and perform all tests with minimal instruction.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly and Disassembly

• Review procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy.
• Configure test stations and systems.

Testing and Quality Assurance

• Analyse and interpret data from environmental tests and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Test and evaluate the performance and, if required, repair general purpose test equipment.
• Perform quality assurance activities required by manufacturing or engineering specifications and ISO requirements to ensure compliance.
• Assist in the set-up of experiments and the recording of experimental data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups.

Compliance and Safety

• Work in compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3-year technical diploma or associate degree in the electrical or mechanical field, or higher.
• At least 5 to 10 years of related experience in electro-mechanical function in oil and gas industry or domain.
• Previous experience with Baker Hughes (preferred).

Skills & Competencies

• High level of knowledge in the maintenance of electronics.
• Advanced skills in soldering and assembling of electro-mechanical devices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists.
• Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and experience with general hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
