Electrician – Events & Production

Role Overview

Electrician – Events & Production at Burjline Builders. The role supports electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and temporary power requirements for events, exhibitions, and production projects.

Role Purpose

Ensure safe and efficient electrical setups and provide hands-on technical support during installations, live events, and dismantling activities.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Setup

• Install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems for events, exhibitions, and production projects.
• Set up temporary power distribution, electrical cabling, lighting, and AV-related electrical connections.
• Conduct pre-event electrical inspections and prepare temporary wiring layouts.
• Support the electrical connection of carpentry, fabrication, and production equipment.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable safety standards, Qatar electrical requirements, and event regulations.
• Participate in safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety drills.

Coordination & Supervision

• Coordinate with project managers, designers, carpentry teams, and event crews for electrical requirements.
• Supervise electrical installation and dismantling activities at event sites.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Respond quickly to electrical faults and technical issues during live events.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and technical diagrams.
• Recommend repairs, replacements, or improvements to electrical systems and equipment.

Equipment & Inventory Management

• Maintain electrical tools, equipment, materials, and inventory.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical Diploma, Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Systems, Electrical Installation, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as an Electrician.
• Experience in events, exhibitions, production, fabrication, or temporary electrical installations is preferred.
• Previous experience supporting carpentry, fabrication, or exhibition equipment is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, cabling, temporary power distribution, and lighting.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical issues in fast-paced or live-event environments.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical layouts.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and Qatar electrical requirements.
• Experience with AV setups, lighting rigs, or temporary power systems is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Physically fit and comfortable working on-site with electrical tools and equipment.

Additional Information

• Willingness to work during event installations, dismantling, weekends, or extended hours when required.
