Role Purpose
To support electrical engineering projects by conducting technical reviews, preparing protection and control documentation, evaluating equipment and vendor offerings, and ensuring alignment with client requirements and technical standards while optimizing engineering efficiency and margins.
Key Responsibilities
Specification & Document Review
- Conduct detailed studies of project specifications to ensure alignment with client requirements and technical standards.
- Review control and protection schematic drawings from partner units to ensure accuracy and functionality.
- Analyze System Automation Schematics (SAS) documents, including Functional Design Specifications, SAS Architecture, GTP, and BOQ.
- Evaluate primary and secondary substation switchgear and equipment schematics, focusing on coordination with protection schematics.
Protection & Power Systems Design
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for protection systems, ensuring compliance with client specifications.
- Perform application checks and calculations for Current Transformers (CT), Capacitor Voltage Transformers (CVT), and Potential Transformers (PT) with respect to protective relays and protection functions.
- Develop and review cable philosophies and interconnection schedules to ensure system integration.
Vendor & Procurement Management
- Review tender and vendor offers related to Control and Relay (C&R) panels to ensure technical compatibility and cost-efficiency.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for electrical equipment such as transformers, current transformers, and voltage transformers to ensure product quality and performance.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with clients for the approval of engineering drawings and documents.
- Achieve sales targets and improve gross margins through effective engineering optimization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5 or more years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in protection systems and substation design.
- Experience with client discussions and document approvals.
- Experience in factory acceptance testing and vendor offer evaluation.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in reviewing control and protection schematics and technical documents.
- Knowledge of SAS systems, CT, CVT, PT applications, and relay protection functions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage deadlines effectively.
