Role Overview
Electrical Supervisor at Samsung E&A. The position is based on a project site and involves supervising electrical construction activities for substations and associated cable laying works in major power distribution projects.

Role Purpose
To supervise and manage electrical construction activities and subcontractors on site, ensuring safe execution in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and timely project completion for substation and cable laying work.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision and Safety
- Supervise site activities, site inspection, and commissioning to ensure quality, safety and timely project completion.
- Supervise and ensure safe conditions at the construction site in cooperation with the safety department.
- Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA) or equivalent documents based on specification and requirements.
Subcontractor Management
- Supervise, manage and support subcontractors to proceed with construction effectively in accordance with project specifications under safe conditions.
- Coordinate between top management and subcontractor management to provide full site work details as per actual site conditions.
- Evaluate performance of subcontractors and report to top management.
- Follow up on equipment arrangement with subcontractors to proceed with work on time.
Material and Documentation Management
- Follow up Material Take Off (MTO) from FMC with subcontractors to continue site activities without interruption.
- Provide the latest Detailed General Work (DGW) to subcontractors as per site condition to avoid rework.
- Ensure necessary construction drawings and materials are available in advance of construction implementation.
- Review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) in reference to latest drawings and project standard specifications and note materials requiring changes and possible BOQ revisions.
Quality and Compliance
- Supervise and ensure construction quality in accordance with project specifications and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
- Review Single Line diagrams for overall power system configuration and energization.
- Review 3D modelling at the early project stage for cable routes, device installation locations, and interference with other disciplines.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting
- Manage construction progress by checking daily, weekly and monthly work completed quantities.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction reports.
- Record Best Practice (B/P) and Lessons Learned (L/L).
- Ensure job closing to keep pace with rapid progress on construction of substations and associated cable laying works for major power distribution.
Coordination and Problem Resolution
- Coordinate with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues.
- Follow up Request For Information (RFI) closing with client and subcontractors.
Planning and Documentation
- Prepare construction Method Statement (M/S) based on specification and requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Construction experience as a supervisor in oil, gas, petrochemical or power plants.
- Engineering and Construction Company working experience in the Middle East is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction management and engineering standards.
- Computer application ability (MS Office).
- Knowledge of electric circuits, electrical equipment and energization.
- Commissioning and testing knowledge.
- High Voltage experience.
- Substation experience (SWGR, TR).
- Energization experience.
- OHTL (Overhead Transmission Line) experience.
- Fire Alarm experience.
- Cathodic Protection experience.
