Role Purpose

Supervise and manage subcontractors to execute electrical construction work safely, on schedule and to specification. Coordinate between top management and subcontractor teams to ensure quality, safety and timely project completion while managing site activities, inspections and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Supervision

• Supervise, manage and support subcontractors to proceed with construction effectively in accordance with project specification under safe conditions.
• Supervise site activities, site inspections and commissioning to ensure quality, safety and timely completion of projects.
• Supervise and ensure safe conditions at construction sites in cooperation with the safety department.
• Supervise and ensure construction quality in accordance with project specification and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
• Ensure job closing to catch up with rapid progress on construction of substations and associated cable laying works for major power distribution.

Coordination & Interface

• Coordinate between top management and subcontractor management to provide full site work detail as per site actual conditions.
• Coordinate with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues.
• Follow up RFI closing with client and subcontractors.

Planning & Documentation

• Prepare construction Method Statement (M/S) based on specification and requirements.
• Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA) or equivalent documents based on specification and requirements.
• Ensure necessary construction drawings and materials in advance of construction implementation.
• Record Best Practice (B/P) and Lessons Learned (L/L).
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction reports.

Material & Equipment Management

• Follow up MTO (material take off) from FMC with subcontractors to continue site activities without any hurdle.
• Provide the latest DGW (Detailed General Drawings) to subcontractors as per site conditions to avoid rework.
• Follow up equipment arrangement with subcontractors to proceed with the job on time.

Progress & Performance Management

• Manage construction progress by checking daily, weekly and monthly work done quantities.
• Evaluate performance of subcontractors and report it to top management.

Technical Review

• Review BOQ in reference to latest drawings and project standard specification; note materials that need to be changed and possible BOQ revisions.
• Review 3D modelling at the early project stage for cable routes, device installation locations and interference with other disciplines.
• Review Single Line diagram for overall Power System configuration and Energization.

Qualifications & Experience

• Construction experience in oil and gas, petrochemical or power plants as a supervisor.
• Engineering and construction company working experience in the Middle East is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Comprehensive knowledge of construction management and engineering standards.
• Computer application ability (MS Office).
• Knowledge of electric circuits, electrical equipment and energization.
• Commissioning and testing knowledge.
• High Voltage expertise.
• Substation (SWGR, TR) expertise.
• Energization expertise.
• OHTL (Overhead Transmission Line) expertise.
• Fire Alarm systems expertise.
• Cathodic Protection expertise.
