Role Purpose
The Electrical Repair Technician diagnoses, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems and equipment across Lucid's manufacturing and operational environments. The technician ensures safe, efficient operation of electrical components while following electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures to deliver high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnosis & Troubleshooting
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, panels, and equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Test electrical systems using meters, testers, and diagnostic tools
Installation & Maintenance
- Install electrical components such as switches, VCU, BCM, and control systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery
- Trim DE trim cars in readiness to fit or remove electrical components
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes
- Document repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities
Collaboration & Support
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians
- Respond to emergency repair requests and perform on-call duties when required
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe working environment
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical diploma or certification in Electrical Technology or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or similar repair/production environment
- Proven experience in electrical repair
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety procedures
- Low voltage and high voltage knowledge is preferable
- Experience in industrial or commercial electrical systems is preferred
- Knowledge of PLCs, control panels, or automation systems is preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
- Proficiency with electrical testing tools and repair equipment
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Good communication and reporting skills
Additional Information
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 20–25 kg
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or in varying temperatures
- Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods
- Willingness to work overtime or on-call shifts when needed
