Role Overview
Wood PLC is recruiting a Rotational Support / Remote Electrical Engineer to join its UAE business unit. This is a full-time position based in Sharjah, UAE.

Role Purpose
The Rotational Support Electrical Engineer provides electrical engineering expertise to site-based teams by performing and reviewing complex or non-routine electrical engineering calculations and analyses.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support and Expertise
- Provide electrical engineering expertise to technical Management of Change (MoCs) and Engineering Queries (EQs).
- Provide electrical engineering expertise to hazard identification and risk assessment processes.
- Provide electrical engineering expertise in performing incident investigations and defect assessments.
- Lead resolution of complex, multi-discipline technical issues where the dominant component is electrical engineering.
- Provide electrical engineering coaching to Client engineers.
Equipment Strategy and Maintenance
- Ensure inspection, testing, maintenance and condition monitoring tasks are aligned with the technical intent of Equipment Strategies.
- Develop and update technical content of Equipment Strategies based on equipment performance feedback.
- Perform periodical review of planned inspection and maintenance effectiveness.
- Perform reliability analysis for electrical equipment using surveillance, maintenance and condition monitoring data.
- Trend performance metrics for electrical equipment.
Documentation and Procedures
- Write, review and recommend technical input into Site Operations Procedures (SOPs).
- Generate, revise and review discipline Technical Documentation.
Project Delivery
- Provide electrical engineering expertise to delivery of Kirkuk actions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional accreditation as a Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer.
- Substantial experience and technical understanding of engineering, maintenance and operation of electrical equipment in oil and gas facilities.
- Knowledge of governing codes, industry standards and local regulations relevant to electrical engineering.
- Proven ability in practical application of engineering standards and practices for electrical equipment.
- Sound stakeholder management experience.
