Role Purpose

To provide comprehensive electrical engineering oversight across design review, site supervision, quality control, and procurement for electrical systems and installations, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Technical Review

• Review electrical designs, load calculations, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, shop drawings, technical submittals, and method statements.
• Validate electrical equipment selections, technical material submittals, finishes, and execution of all electrical components.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve functionality, constructability, maintainability, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
• Support design reviews and multidisciplinary BIM coordination.

Site Supervision & Construction Monitoring

• Review and supervise electrical works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure proper installation and integration of electrical systems.
• Supervise power distribution systems, transformers, generators, UPS systems, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, and low-current systems.
• Coordinate closely with civil, architectural, mechanical, process, and automation disciplines to ensure proper system integration.

Inspection, Testing & Quality Control

• Track, review, and approve the full inspection cycle: vendor approval, subcontractor approval, material approval, and testing-laboratory approval.
• Verify materials on delivery and conduct stage-by-stage inspection and acceptance of works.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, operational readiness, and final handover activities.
• Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).
• Support quantity verification, progress measurement, and payment certification.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with project quality requirements and safety standards.

Coordination & Procurement Support

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and site supervisors on all electrical engineering matters.
• Support procurement activities through technical evaluation of suppliers, equipment, and subcontractors.

Reporting & Risk Management

• Monitor project progress related to electrical activities and identify potential risks, delays, and technical issues.
• Prepare technical reports, site observations, punch lists, and progress updates.
• Provide recommendations for project management and clients.

Health, Safety & Environment Compliance

• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and site regulations.
