Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is one of the main clients along with Tier 1 and Tier 2 EPC contractors in this sector. The company provides full EPC&M services for electrical and instrumentation works and brings intrinsic knowledge to measure and automate exploration, production, separation, refining processes, and distribution through localized services.

Role Purpose

To design, calculate, specify, and document electrical systems for oil and gas EPC projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project requirements while coordinating across multidisciplinary teams and supporting project delivery from design through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Prepare and review electrical design calculations including load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, cable sizing, earthing, and lighting.
• Develop single line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Design and specify LV/MV power distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and UPS systems.
• Design and specify lighting and small power systems.
• Perform equipment sizing and selection based on project requirements.

Documentation & Procurement

• Prepare material requisitions and technical bid evaluations.
• Review vendor documents.
• Review and approve shop drawings and as-built drawings.

Coordination & Meetings

• Coordinate with multidiscipline teams including mechanical, instrumentation, civil, and process departments.
• Support HAZOP, SIL, and design review meetings.

Project Support

• Assist in construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities when required.
• Provide technical support during project execution and client interactions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8 or more years in electrical design within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Experience in ADNOC projects is an added advantage.
