Role Overview

Electrical BIM Modeler at Al Shirawi Group. The role develops, updates, and maintains detailed 3D BIM models for electrical services including power distribution, lighting, low current systems, and fire alarm systems, ensuring accurate coordination with other disciplines to deliver clash-free and constructible models in compliance with project BIM standards.

Role Purpose

Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for electrical systems while ensuring accurate coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to deliver integrated, clash-free, and constructible models that meet project standards.

Key Responsibilities

Modeling and Design

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for electrical systems using Revit or similar BIM software.
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Prepare shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and installation details from BIM models.
• Extract quantities and support material take-offs from BIM models.

Coordination and Clash Resolution

• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to ensure fully integrated and clash-free models.
• Perform clash detection and assist in resolving coordination issues using Navisworks or equivalent tools.
• Participate in coordination meetings and support resolution of design conflicts.

Compliance and Updates

• Ensure adherence to project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and client standards.
• Update models based on design changes, site conditions, and coordination inputs.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Revit or similar BIM software.
• Experience with Navisworks or equivalent clash detection tools.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong coordination and communication skills across multiple disciplines.
