E&I GENERAL FOREMAN

Role Overview

E&I General Foreman at NMDC Group. This role oversees electrical and instrumentation construction operations on project sites, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with quality and health and safety standards.

Role Purpose

Supervise and control assigned construction crews—including Foremen, Charge hands, and Technicians—to deliver E&I scope of work on schedule, in accordance with project Quality and HSE requirements, and in coordination with other departments and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Crew Supervision and Control

• Supervise and control construction crews assigned to the project, including Foremen, Charge hands, and Technicians.
• Exercise discretion in establishing short-term priorities and objectives.
• Allocate workforce, tools, and equipment as required.
• Maintain direct control of up to 80 productive personnel and up to 8 supervisory personnel such as Foremen and Chargehands.

Technical Review and Clarification

• Review project specifications, installation standards, and construction drawings in relation to E&I scope of work.
• Identify areas requiring particular attention and escalate to the Construction/Site Engineer.
• Raise technical queries and seek clarifications on ambiguities in construction drawings and documents through the Construction/Site Engineer.

Coordination and Liaison

• Liaise with Client representatives through the Construction/Site Engineer to resolve problems encountered during work progress.
• Address specification violations, nonconformance, interfaces, and modifications.
• Coordinate with other Section General Foremen, other Departments, Sections, and Subcontractors to ensure smooth performance of E&I works.
• Maintain close contact with QC Inspectors and Client Representatives to ensure timely issuance of Inspection/Release Notes and Acceptance Certificates.

Documentation and Reporting

• Assist in preparation of As-Built Drawings and Material reconciliation reports.
• Report to the E&I Construction Manager/Site Engineer assigned to the Project.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or E&C from an accredited university (full-time study).

Years of Experience

• 8 years of experience in installation of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecom equipment in the Oil and Gas Industry.

• Passing physical fitness examination from AD Health Service Co. SEHA is mandatory.
• Physical examinations and investigation tests (ADMA) are required before working at offshore Oil and Gas projects.
