ED IV/ Senior Telecommunication Designer

Role Overview

ED IV/ Senior Telecommunication Designer at Wood PLC, based in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Role Purpose

Develop and deliver high-quality telecommunication and security drawings in alignment with agreed scope and industry standards, supporting the Telecom & Security engineering team with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Drafting

• Develop telecom drawings including Outside Plant and Inside Plant designs.
• Create base design drawings from agreed work scope with minimal input from engineering personnel.
• Produce telecommunication and security drawings in 3D using SP3D (Smart Plant), AutoCAD, PDS, or Revit.

Quality & Assurance

• Provide drafting checking function as directed by the engineer.
• Apply company quality control assurance requirements applicable to the drafting function.
• Ensure familiarity with Saudi Aramco drafting standards, specifications, and codes of practice.

Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate clearly with engineering personnel.
• Contribute to group and discipline objectives applicable to the drafting function.
• Work effectively within multi-national and multi-cultural project teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Telecomms or Architecture Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years proven capability in an engineering design company.
• Experience working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• 3D Max Certification.
• Proficiency in SP3D (Smart Plant), AutoCAD, PDS, or Revit.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco drafting standards and specifications.
• Clear communication with technical personnel.
