Role Purpose
The Commis I assists the Chefs in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and helps maintain a high standard and quality of food preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation
- Prepare food items in accordance with standard procedures, recipe cards, photographs, and given instructions.
- Apply sound knowledge of cuisines and food service sanitation to perform duties efficiently and productively.
Standards & Compliance
- Maintain complete knowledge and adherence to Four Seasons Food Standards.
- Assist the Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie, or Commis I in developing standard recipes and ensure strict compliance with them.
Kitchen Operations
- Participate in product development and support the smooth, efficient operation of the kitchen.
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Executive Chef.
Professional Conduct
- Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of at least 1 year of experience in a similar role in a luxury brand.
Skills & Competencies
- High level of understanding and knowledge of kitchen operations.
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Outgoing personality and a can-do approach to assigned tasks.
