Echocardiographer

Role Overview

Echocardiographer at NMC Healthcare. This role is responsible for performing cardiology non-invasive exams at a technical level.

Role Purpose

The incumbent assumes responsibility for the safe and proper operation of cardiology equipment within the non-invasive cardiac department, including TMT, Echo, and Holter equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Operations

• Perform 2D Echo and TMT examinations, demonstrating competency and proficiency with equipment in the non-invasive lab.
• Deliver patient care for all age groups while using diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Act as a liaison between the patient and the cardiologist.

Equipment & Inventory Management

• Maintain safe and proper operation of all cardiology equipment in the non-invasive cardiac department.
• Participate in the ordering and inventory of equipment and supplies for the non-invasive lab.

Administrative Duties

• Perform general office duties including answering phones, scheduling, filing, and maintaining patient records.

Professional Development

• Actively participate in the training of other personnel.
• Maintain and advance cardiology skills through continuing education, including department meetings, individualized learning opportunities from cardiologists, and related classes.
• Recognize that continuing education is vital to maintaining and advancing the profession.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiac Care Technology.
• Six months of internship in Cardiac Care Technology.
• Current license in country of origin with DHA license to practice in Dubai, U.A.E.
• Two years of recent related work experience as a Cardiac Technician.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent command of oral and written English.
• Arabic language advantageous and desirable but not essential.
• Ability to adjust to group practice in an industrial environment.
