Role Overview
Echocardiographer at NMC Healthcare. The role delivers diagnostic cardiac imaging services in the non-invasive laboratory, supporting cardiologists and patients across all age groups.
Role Purpose
To perform high-quality echocardiographic examinations and treadmill stress tests while maintaining clinical competency, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to international standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Services
- Perform 2D echocardiography and treadmill stress testing (TMT) with demonstrated competency and proficiency in non-invasive laboratory equipment.
- Deliver patient care for all age groups using diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Act as a liaison between patients and the cardiologist.
Operations & Administration
- Participate in ordering and inventory management of equipment and supplies for the non-invasive laboratory.
- Perform general office duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, filing, and maintaining patient records.
Compliance & Professional Development
- Follow appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations, and Joint Commission International norms when treating and managing patients and discharging professional duties.
- Actively participate in the training of other personnel.
- Maintain current cardiology skills through continuing education, including attendance at department meetings, individualized learning opportunities from cardiologists, and related classes.
- Recognize that continuing education is vital to maintaining and advancing the profession.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiac Care Technology.
- Six months of internship in Cardiac Care Technology.
- Current license in country of origin with DHA license to practice in the United Arab Emirates.
- Two years of recent related work experience as a Cardiac Technician.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent command of oral and written English.
- Arabic language advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to adjust to group practice in an industrial environment.
- Competency and proficiency with echocardiography and TMT equipment.
