Early Career Trainee - Control Services

Role Overview

Early Career Trainee - Control Services at GE Vernova. This is a 12-month program with the possibility of an extension for another 6 months, designed as an investment in young talent where GE Vernova trains graduates to perform their traineeship in a GE Vernova business.

Role Purpose

The Early Career Trainee Control Engineer executes HMI (Human Machine Interface) and MKVIe control system field activities for assigned projects, including project field tasks aligned with the services process.

Key Responsibilities

Field Commissioning & Project Delivery

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support field commissioning projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
• Support site organization during preparation and commissioning, ensuring adherence to Quality Procedures and work instructions.
• Assist site during SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) preparations and conduct validations for successful project delivery.

Documentation & Design

• Prepare all necessary documentation.
• Validate designs during customer acceptance, check document consistency, and manage evolving customer requirements.
• Understand and prepare design documents for automation projects.

Safety & Compliance

• Demonstrate EHS compliance, promote Zero Deviation Plans, and foster a safe work environment.

Stakeholder Management

• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure excellent service and maintain strong relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Control, Mechatronics, Electro-mechanical engineering, or related field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in engineering field.
• The legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restriction.

Skills & Competencies

• Good communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and take ownership of onsite activities.
• Knowledge and skill to actively support an outage and be aware of where to seek answers to questions as they arise.
• Familiarity with computer network systems and switches.
