Driver

Role Overview

Driver at NMC Healthcare. Responsible for transporting staff to and from the clinic in a safe and professional manner, delivering documents and laboratory samples, and maintaining vehicle safety and condition.

Role Purpose

Transport staff safely and timely between clinic locations, deliver critical documents and laboratory samples across facilities, and maintain assigned vehicle in safe operating condition at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Staff Transportation

• Transport staff to and from clinic timely and safely.
• Maintain a current list of staff requiring pick-up and drop-off, with manager approval required for any new staff additions.
• Ensure staff reach the pick-up point 5 minutes prior to scheduled time.
• Wait no more than 5 minutes for any staff member.
• Maintain established company van routes without changes for any staff.
• Receive location change notifications from the facilities manager only.
• Notify appropriate individuals of any delays in scheduled route.
• Assist with other routes when breakdown or unusual circumstances occur as assigned.

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety

• Conduct established safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily.
• Keep vehicle clean, tidy, and in good working condition at all times.
• Ensure vehicle receives regular and day-to-day maintenance checks including oil change, water, battery, brakes, and tyres.
• Ensure safe driving practices and high standards of service to employees.
• Maintain current required licenses and certificates.

Document & Parcel Delivery

• Deliver important documents, passports, uniforms, parcels, and claim forms to respective clinics and corporate office.
• Ensure deliveries have been signed and delivered to the correct recipient.

Laboratory Support

• Collect blood sample box from medical centers along with the register book.
• Transport samples to laboratory with safe driving practices to ensure the sample box does not shake and remains in good condition.
• Hand over sample box to the office boy at the laboratory.
• Perform collections throughout the day as per assigned timings.
• Collect laboratory requirements from the Clinic General Store weekly and deliver to the clinic.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Driver's License.
