Driver - Light Vehicle

Role Overview

Driver - Light Vehicle at Apparel Group. This position is responsible for executing timely and safe transportation of goods, documents, or personnel using light vehicles.

Role Purpose

The role supports last-mile delivery operations, ensures vehicle maintenance, and adheres to company and regulatory transport standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Delivery

• Operate light vehicles to transport goods, materials, or staff as per scheduled routes and timelines.
• Follow assigned delivery schedules and optimize routes to ensure timely arrivals.
• Ensure the safe handling, loading, and unloading of goods in coordination with warehouse staff.
• Provide support for ad-hoc logistics needs such as inter-office document transfers or urgent pickups.

Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance

• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any malfunctions or required maintenance.
• Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned vehicles.
• Comply with all traffic laws and company transport regulations.

Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain delivery logs, mileage records, fuel usage, and trip reports accurately.
• Coordinate with the transport supervisor regarding delivery schedules, changes, or incidents.

Qualifications & Experience

• 2–4 years of experience as a professional light vehicle driver, preferably within a logistics or retail distribution environment.
• Valid driving license for light vehicles.
• Sound knowledge of local routes, road safety, and traffic regulations.

Skills & Competencies

• Good communication and basic documentation handling skills.
• High level of reliability, responsibility, and customer service orientation.
