Role Overview

Driver / Clerk at American Hospital Dubai. The role involves performing driving duties according to schedules and work rotas, supporting the Transportation Supervisor, and conducting a wide range of transport assignments across the UAE.

Role Purpose

To provide reliable, safe, and efficient driving and transport support services to American Hospital Dubai, maintaining vehicle standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting operational continuity across scheduled routes and ad-hoc assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Driving Duties

• Perform driving duties per Transportation Supervisor schedules and work rota assignments.
• Conduct employee mini bus scheduled collections and returns.
• Complete airport collection and departure driving assignments.
• Execute visa and ministry driving duties as required.
• Conduct bank, laboratory, and mail driving duties as required.
• Perform UAE-wide driving assignments as scheduled.
• Support Transportation Supervisor and cover his duties during absence.
• Attend to all emergencies and remain on call for laboratory and other runs.

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety

• Maintain vehicles to the required standard of maintenance.
• Conduct daily safety checks on all assigned vehicles.
• Make best efforts to reduce fuel consumption and cost.

Compliance & Quality

• Comply with all road transport regulations, signage, and traffic conditions.
• Ensure incident reports are complete and communicated to the Quality Improvement department through the Supervisor.
• Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) activities.
• Demonstrate active awareness of continuing Quality Improvement (QI).
• Implement Sustainable Practices and Policies in Facilities Management operations.

Performance & Accountability

• Carry out assigned duties effectively and successfully to the required quality standard.
• Provide quantitative and qualitative work ethic.
• Demonstrate consistent dependability in all assignments.
• Monitor reports and statistics for areas of responsibility.
• Account for follow-up referrals relating to the section.
• Offer recommendations for change in systems to maximize utilization of personnel and resources.

Qualifications & Experience

• Trade School and/or High School Graduate.
• Minimum of two years experience as a driver.
• Valid UAE Driving License.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) standards.
• Ability to read and write English.
