Role Overview
Draughtsman at Al Tayer Group. The role involves preparing AutoCAD drawings and related documentation based on project briefs and client specifications.
Role Purpose
Produce accurate, timely AutoCAD drawings, specifications, and schedules that support project execution, facilitate client approval, and enable effective coordination across design and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design Documentation
- Prepare all AutoCAD plans, sections, details, specifications and schedules according to timelines provided by the principal, client or consultant during the project brief.
- Review sketches, drawings and specifications provided by the client or in-house architect and develop drawings from concept to working drawings.
- Incorporate changes suggested by the client or consultant to ensure approval.
Site and As-Built Documentation
- Survey site and prepare as-built drawings.
- Explain the details and intricacies of drawings to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure drawings are accurate and complete to facilitate timely execution of the project.
Coordination and Quality Control
- Liaise with Architects, Project Managers and quantity surveyors to ensure they understand information contained in design documents.
- Respond as required to provide additional or supporting design information relevant to project development.
- Follow established computer protocols and formats and coordinate with other team members to ensure consistency of drawing layout, style and presentation.
- Check and ensure that all deliverables are accurate and in accordance with specified requirements, including project variations and amendments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Architecture.
- Three to five years of experience in operating AutoCAD, preferably in construction or interior fit-out projects.
