Role Purpose

Deliver accurate electrical and instrumentation drafting services using CAD and hand-drafting techniques, maintaining compliance with project specifications and engineering quality standards while supporting the engineering team through timely completion and database management.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting Development & Standards

• Participate in development of ENG drafting standards and propose improvements to drafting procedures.
• Review and comment on project drafting requirements as applicable.

CAD & Design Execution

• Perform drafting works using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD) or by hand as required, in accordance with project drafting specifications and ENG quality standards.
• Deliver Design and AutoCAD Shop Drawings.
• Produce combined layout, cable tray layout and section drawings for utility services and buildings.

Quality & Coordination

• Review drafting works performed by Engineering Subcontractors and comment on their compatibility with project and department drafting standards when instructed.
• Ensure drafting activities are performed on time and identify causes of deviations.

Database Management

• Maintain and keep the drawing database current and accessible to engineering staff.
• Seek assistance from peers whenever required to mitigate potential problems or delays promptly.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Diploma in AutoCAD.
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience as Draftsman (Electrical & Instrumentation).
• Previous working experience as Electrical & Instrumentation Draftsman with an EPC company (preferred).
• Experience in Oil & Gas projects (preferred).
