Role Overview
Wood PLC is recruiting a Document Controller for the ADNOC Offshore US LTDP project. This role is based in the oil and gas sector and is responsible for managing and controlling all project documentation, ensuring compliance with company and client standards, and facilitating communication between contractors and clients.
Role Purpose
The Document Controller manages and maintains comprehensive project documentation systems, ensuring compliance with company and client requirements while enabling timely communication and accurate information flow across all project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Document Control & Management
- Manage and maintain the project document control system in line with company procedures and client requirements.
- Ensure proper registration, distribution, tracking, and retrieval of documents.
- Ensure document traceability and secure storage of confidential records.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure timely submission and receipt of documentation.
- Facilitate communication between contractors and clients through documentation processes.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare transmittals and maintain logs of all documentation activity.
- Generate reports on documentation status for project teams and management.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with QA/QC and project requirements.
- Verify adherence to ISO standards and major client documentation requirements.
Training & Support
- Train and support junior document controllers in following established procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor degree required.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in document control within the oil and gas sector.
Skills & Competencies
- Extensive experience in document control within the oil and gas sector.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in document management systems.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and major client documentation requirements.
