Role Purpose
Provide overall medical management and medical evaluation for workers, control the site clinic and medical staff, and deliver occupational health and emergency medical services in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Treatment & Care
- Provide medical examination and treatment for work-related illnesses and injuries
- Perform emergency procedures to sustain life, repair injuries, or prevent diseases
- Monitor patients' recovery and rehabilitation as appropriate
- Respond to emergency situations and direct medical care accordingly
Health Promotion & Prevention
- Provide advice on hygiene and methods of disease prevention
- Assist with planning and development of cost-effective procedures and programs for administering health services and promoting general health maintenance
Stakeholder Management
- Maintain ongoing relationship with local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel
Qualifications & Experience
- Doctoral degree in medicine or related field
- Experience in medical treatment
Skills & Competencies
Technical Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of medical diagnosis and treatment for work-related illnesses and injuries
- Comprehensive knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards
- Knowledge of medical equipment, supplies, and medications commonly used in an industrial medical setting
- Ability to analyze medical data and records to make informed decisions about patient care
- Understanding of infectious disease prevention and control measures
- Familiarity with telemedicine and remote medical consultation practices
- Knowledge of emergency response and disaster management protocols
Clinical Competency
- Ability to perform emergency procedures to sustain life, repair injuries, or prevent diseases
- Emergency medical care and treatment protocols for industrial settings
- Medical record-keeping and documentation
