Role Overview

Director, Risk (Del 1) at Qiddiya Investment Company. This is a direct report to the Senior Director – Risk, supporting analysis of data from Subdistricts and Projects within one of Qiddiya's largest Business Units.

Role Purpose

Support the Senior Director – Risk by analyzing data from Subdistricts and Projects, providing relevant and up-to-date assurance and compliance analysis to business unit leadership. Implement and oversee Risk Management across the Enterprise Business Unit (EBU) Subdistrict and Portfolio, maintaining quality of Risk Management activities and ensuring consistent, effective Risk Management tools, techniques, processes and standards aligned with QIC's policies and procedures.

Risk Culture & Policy Implementation

• Support the development of a Risk culture within integrated Development and Delivery project teams across the Division.
• Participate in the implementation of Risk Management policies, processes, procedures and controls at the Subdistrict level.
• Assist in embedding within the EBU a set of KPIs in risk reporting platforms in relation to risk performance across the Business Unit and implement these effectively.
• Assist in the development and implementation of consistent and effective Risk Management tools, techniques, processes and standards, in line with QIC's policies and procedures.

Risk Analysis & Reporting

• Conduct risk identification, risk evaluation, risk mitigation, risk monitoring and reporting at the EBU N-1 Risk Management cycle level, using input from the Subdistrict / Project N-2 level.
• Produce portfolio and programme level reports.
• Communicate pertinent and relevant information to Executive management level in a timely manner.
• Ensure data is available in accordance with established cadence and the requirements of the Senior Director.

Subject Matter Expertise & Advisory

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Risk Management Qualitative and Quantitative processes at Subdistrict level.
• Provide on an ad hoc basis guidance and consultative advice to the Business to enable risk-informed decision making.

Stakeholder & Resource Management

• Communicate with peers and subordinates to ensure data availability and alignment with requirements.
• Support the professional development of all risk resources across EBU by frequent engagement and communications.
• Coordinate with other functional leads and project key stakeholders.
• Assist in the conduct of policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors.

Qualifications & Experience

• Educated to Degree level, with equivalent training and experience.
• Degree in Risk Management or similar.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
• 15 years minimum of previous experience required.
• 5 years in leadership positions in Development and Delivery portfolios.
• Previous experience in leadership Risk roles within PMO / PMC organizations.
• Membership of professional Risk association (IRM, RMIA, etc.).

Skills & Competencies

• High level of proficiency with Risk Management Systems (such as ARM, Safran Risk, Risk Hive, etc.).
• Excellent knowledge of Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Management methodologies and processes.
• Proficient user of IT systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, internet).
• Excellent management skills including organization, time management, resourcefulness, flexibility, communication and collaboration.
• Proven success at teamwork and working independently.
• Time management, organization and prioritization skills, able to prioritize, plan and agree activities across a wide range of stakeholders.
• Good communication skills in a multi-cultural environment.
