Role Overview
Director of Operations at Groomy Pet, part of United Al Saqer Group. This role leads operational activities across all departments to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and sustained business growth.

Role Purpose
The Director of Operations oversees all operational activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the organization. The role exists to support the general manager in achieving business objectives through the highest standards of customer experience, stakeholder management, and efficient resource management, thereby maximizing revenue, profitability, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Growth
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with general manager business objectives.
- Identify areas for growth and drive initiatives to enhance overall operational performance.
- Propose potential business expansion opportunities according to real-time market demand and status.
- Coordinate in the development of a marketing strategy with the Marketing Executive that drives revenues, builds brand equity, and leverages digital assets including social media.
- Keep abreast of competition, trends, and developments in the animal and pet sectors at large.
- Provide creative and efficient input in current and future activities of the facility.
Operations & Processes
- Provide leadership to ensure efficient and effective management of Operations, Marketing, and Finance departments.
- Ensure smooth operations on tenders and other purchases related to the facility.
- Apply approved protocols to the entire organizational structure.
- Ensure the center continuously meets the highest international standards of the industry in terms of products, services, and technologies.
Financial Management
- Manage departmental budgets and optimize processes.
- Assist in analysis for annual business plans and budgets for each department in coordination with the finance function and business heads.
- Monitor departmental budget performance and apply corrective actions decided by the general manager where needed.
- Ensure optimal analysis and control over expenses and conduct cost-benefit analysis so general management can take appropriate measures.
Human Resources & People Management
- Coordinate HR functions including contracts signature, health insurance issuance, and Emirates ID issuance.
- Ensure the business is staffed by competent personnel.
- Provide leadership to ensure optimum utilization of resources, increase productivity, and minimize costs.
- Ensure adequate training and motivation of staff.
- Take personal interest in the development of staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Stakeholder & Customer Management
- Support the general manager through highest standards of customer experience and stakeholder management.
- Foster high customer loyalty and strong word-of-mouth.
