The Kuwait location is a resort-like sanctuary in the heart of Kuwait City. Role Purpose

Lead the Engineering department to deliver exceptional operational excellence, asset preservation, and capital investment management. Serve as a strategic partner to Ownership while building and developing a high-performing team committed to continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing Engineering team.
• Create a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Develop future Engineering leaders through coaching, succession planning, and career development.

Strategic Partnership & Owner Relations

• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with Ownership, ensuring alignment between asset preservation, capital investment priorities, and business objectives.
• Serve as a strategic partner to Ownership by providing transparent communication, sound technical expertise, and regular updates on property condition, capital projects, and long-term asset management plans.

Stakeholder Management

• Develop strong relationships with hotel leadership, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders to drive operational excellence and support long-term business objectives.

Asset Management & Maintenance

• Drive preventive maintenance strategies that improve reliability and extend asset life.
• Maintain exceptional standards across the hotel's physical assets and infrastructure.
• Lead capital and improvement projects that enhance performance, guest satisfaction, and operational resilience.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, sustainability, and operating performance.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure uncompromising standards in Life Safety, Fire Safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Strengthen emergency preparedness through training, drills, and risk assessments.

Financial Management

• Manage departmental budgets, resources, and operating expenses effectively.

Accountability

• Take full ownership of departmental performance and deliver sustainable, long-term results for both the hotel and Ownership.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven track record of more than 10 years in progressive engineering leadership, with significant responsibility for engineering operations in luxury hospitality, resort environments, or large-scale commercial properties.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, capital projects, asset management, budgeting, energy management, sustainability, and owner relations.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life-safety systems.
• Ability to engage, develop, and inspire people.
• Understanding the importance of creating trust, transparency, and alignment on capital investments, asset management strategies, and long-term property goals.
• Excellent judgment and commercial awareness.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive when operational challenges arise.
