The Commercial Expert Analysis team provides expert analysis and testimony in arbitration, litigation, adjudication, mediation, and pre-dispute commercial discussions. The team works closely across the firm to provide comprehensive and integrated solutions and supports clients through various phases of litigation or arbitration, including technical and industry expertise.
Role Purpose
As Director of Expert Services, you will lead dispute-related engagements and provide expert advice in complex financial analysis, damages evaluation, loss attribution, and economic analysis. You will develop your skills across commercial litigation and arbitration, regulatory matters, accounting and economic disputes, shareholder disputes, bankruptcy litigation, competition and cartel damages cases, fraud investigations, and cross-border disputes while building relationships with clients and legal advisors from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Dispute Leadership & Expert Testimony
- Lead dispute-related engagements, including acting as a testifying expert.
Client Advisory
- Provide required expert advice to lawyers.
- Assist clients with fact finding and clarifying facts related to disputes engagements or forensic investigations.
Project Management & Development
- Manage a variety of cases and projects.
- Develop new services or products.
Qualifications & Experience
- Forensic accountant experience, including from Big 4.
- Litigation and practice background.
- Chartered accountant qualification (preferred).
- Excellent academic credentials.
Skills & Competencies
- Logical and methodical approach to problem solving with ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Strong numeracy skills with ability to process and analyze large volumes of data.
- Ability to explain complex, technical issues in an understandable manner to lawyers and lay parties.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with strong client focus.
