Role Overview

Director Entertainment Technology at Majid Al Futtaim, Global Solutions UAE. This role serves as the primary bridge between business and technology, ensuring that technology initiatives enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, support entertainment platforms, and deliver measurable business outcomes while driving innovation and business growth.

Role Purpose

Lead the technology strategy and roadmap for the Entertainment business, aligning technology investments with business objectives and acting as the primary technology partner to Entertainment leadership and OpCo executives, translating business needs into technology capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

• Lead the technology strategy and roadmap for the Entertainment business, aligning technology investments with business objectives.
• Own and prioritize the entertainment technology portfolio, ensuring projects deliver value, remain within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to accelerate digital transformation, operational excellence, and commercial growth across the Entertainment business.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership

• Act as the primary technology partner to Entertainment leadership and OpCo executives, translating business needs into technology capabilities.
• Influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams managing complex technology portfolios.

Customer Experience & Platform Innovation

• Drive customer experience improvements through innovative solutions across ticketing, booking, CRM, digital signage, loyalty, and visitor engagement platforms.

Architecture & Enterprise Systems

• Oversee enterprise and entertainment-specific technology architecture, ensuring secure, scalable, and integrated systems.

Operations & Support

• Manage critical IT operations and end-user support across entertainment venues, ensuring high service availability and business continuity.
• Lead application management for cinema and entertainment platforms, including upgrades, testing, training, performance optimization, and issue resolution.

Qualifications & Experience

• 15+ years of experience in technology leadership, preferably within entertainment, hospitality, retail, or customer-facing environments.
• Strong expertise in technology strategy, enterprise architecture, program management, and large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Deep knowledge of entertainment systems including ticketing, booking, CRM, POS, digital engagement, and customer experience platforms.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, Program Management, or Enterprise Architecture (e.g., TOGAF) are highly preferred.

• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams, and manage complex technology portfolios.
