Role Purpose
Lead strategic design initiatives across all development projects, ensuring they are groundbreaking and aligned with the company's vision of excellence. Shape design philosophy, inspire creative teams, and deliver innovative solutions that reflect both practical requirements and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Vision
- Develop and implement design strategies that align with Qiddiya's overarching goals and vision
- Stay abreast of global design trends and best practices, integrating these insights into project initiatives
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of designers and architects, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration
Design Development & Delivery
- Oversee the design development processes from initial concept through to project completion
- Review and approve design proposals, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and compliance with relevant regulations
- Manage project timelines and budgets effectively, ensuring deliverables are met within expected parameters
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure design solutions are practical, innovative, and reflect community engagement
- Engage with clients and stakeholders, presenting design concepts and incorporating their feedback into the design process
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- 12+ years of professional experience in design leadership roles, preferably within the real estate or entertainment sectors
- A proven track record of successfully delivering high-impact design projects on time and within budget
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage creative teams
- Exceptional communication skills, with expertise in presenting complex design solutions to various audiences
- Ability to think critically and creatively, with a strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices is highly advantageous
