Director - Construction Management

Role Overview

Director - Construction Management at Qiddiya Investment Company. This role leads the planning, execution, and delivery of major construction projects, ensuring completion on schedule, within budget, to quality standards, and in full compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Role Purpose

Lead the construction management function across multiple projects and workstreams, overseeing contractors, consultants, and project teams while managing stakeholder relationships and driving effective project governance.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Strategy

• Develop and implement construction execution strategies, methodologies, and delivery plans.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, quality, and risk management activities.

Contractor & Team Management

• Manage and monitor the performance of contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary construction teams.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Quality & Controls

• Review and approve construction methodologies, progress reports, and change requests.

Coordination & Alignment

• Coordinate with design, development, procurement, and operations teams to ensure project alignment.

Risk Management

• Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures to minimize impact on delivery.

Stakeholder Management

• Lead stakeholder engagement with internal departments, government entities, contractors, and executive leadership.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices in construction management.

Reporting

• Prepare executive reports and presentations on project performance, key risks, and strategic decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 12–15 years of experience in construction and project delivery.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience delivering large-scale mixed-use, infrastructure, real estate, or mega-development projects.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project controls, scheduling, and cost management.
• Familiarity with international construction standards and industry best practices.
