Role Overview
Dimensional Test Equipment (DTE) Engineer position at RTX, located in Kuwait. This is an onsite role.

Role Purpose
Serve as the principal authority for the support and maintenance of contractor-supplied PATRIOT depot test stations. Provide hands-on maintenance support, operational training, and technical expertise to enable in-country support personnel to achieve self-sufficiency in the operation, maintenance, and repair of Patriot test equipment and Radar transmitter Battery Replaceable Units (BRUs).
Key Responsibilities
Test Equipment Support & Maintenance
- Assist with determining operating ability of all contractor test equipment.
- Verify that all test station manuals, test procedures, test software, fixtures, and Units Under Test (UUT) are in correct configuration.
- Assist in isolating problems between test station hardware, software, and UUT.
- Assist and resolve test station software problems at system and UUT level.
- Functionally verify the operational condition of the PAT 243, PAT 244, and PAT 247 test stations to verify operational status.
Troubleshooting & Repair
- Sustain and troubleshoot converters, inverters, and electric circuit assemblies for the transmission system by tracking signals and measuring voltage, current, and resistance measurements to isolate problems to the component level on the PAT 247 test station.
- Operate troubleshooting and sustain the coolant oil processing unit and Radar coolant group to ensure oil flow and glycol resistivity requirements are met for system unit operation.
- Provide hands-on maintenance support and operational training on the repair of Radar transmitter Battery Replaceable Units (BRUs).
Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Coordinate training with KAD Depot trained technicians.
- Schedule both informal classroom and practical exercise training activities that refresh previous depot training lessons.
- Participate in on-the-job training programs.
- Demonstrate proper maintenance, sustainment, repair procedures, and techniques.
- Provide direct interface with contractor test personnel when additional testing experience is required.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare, fill out, and submit maintenance reports.
- Prepare, fill out, and submit system problem reports (SPRs).
- Perform other duties as directed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Four (4) years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in the operation, maintenance, and sustainment of Dimensional Test Equipment (DTE) Station equipment and for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing Patriot electronics assemblies and subassemblies to the component level, or equivalent test stations.
- Bachelor's degree in related field and 8-12 years of related experience.
- A minimum of 6 to 8 years hands-on knowledge and experience operating, maintaining, and sustaining PAT 243 and PAT 244 test stations or equivalent test stations.
- Demonstrated experience working on Configuration 3 system assemblies and subassemblies (preferred).
- Experience working in and with a Middle East customer directly (preferred).
- Knowledge and experience in maintaining and sustaining DTE test station equipment (preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Experienced in reading and understanding engineering drawings, schematics, books, technical documents, and PC software.
- Demonstrated skills in using general tools and general use commercial test equipment.
- Demonstrated skills in replacing component parts on circuit card assemblies.
- Good understanding of standard industrial test equipment such as digital volt meters, high voltage probes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, and oscilloscopes.
- Hands-on knowledge and experience operating and maintaining test stations under a Patriot Test Station Lead.
Additional Information
Security Clearance
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- DoD Clearance: Secret level required.
- Active and existing security clearance required on day 1.
Work Requirements
- Must be able to work in extreme desert environments and lift 50 pounds.
- Onsite role; employees will work primarily onsite.
Compensation
- Salary range: $107,500 USD – $204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
